Indeed. Except for me, it's "squee, Ninth Doctor is the crazy David Stephens from Shallow Grave". He's a lot more fun when you first meet him as a psychoman. :D

I keep meaning to watch that movie!

But, of course, I fail to believe he could ever be more fun than as the ninth doctor. He's just so fantastic!

He is a darling as the Doctor, but he's adorkable in the first part of the movie and a fucking freaky man when he goes mad.

28 Days Later, too, he plays the benevolent psychopath. *pats Chris Eccleston*

Mmm, freaky mad Christopher Eccleston. Definitely a movie made with me in mind.

And definitely one of the many reasons I need a netflix account again. I haven't had one since I graduated from Carleton and was no longer to just order extra DVDs on the Sci-Fi Houses account. Which was good. I've even seen Danielle Steele's Family Album (which happens to star Joe Flanigan as the token gay brother!) because of that account.

*dies* I found Family Album in a dollar bin at Walmart! Hehehhee. Oh, Joe Flanigan.

Shallow Grave is very worth the watching, because of a fluffy young Ewan McGregor who utters one of my favourite lines of dialogue ever in a film. The director of both SG and 28 Days Later (Danny Boyle!) is one of my faves. SG is just genius, though. It's quite obviously a first film but it's really, really good. The plot is simple: flatmates get suitcase of money. Wacky* happens. You'll be blown away by the performances, because for whatever reason Ewan McGregor stopped acting around 2001 and Chris Eccleston gets to play an incredible range. And there's a girl-doctor flatmate, but it's the two guys who are more the main characters because they end up fighting over her. (Is late. Am babbling. Will stop lest I *squee* out entire plot + ending.)

*betrayal, attempted murder, general insanity. The usual roommate conflicts.

Oh, I remember. And let's not forget the Tragic Car Accident(tm) that mortally wounds him and kills his boyfriend right after they Gain His Father's Acceptance(tm).
